A wonderful project to be involved with – 11 Belgrave represents a new sustainable workspace located in the bustling heart of London. The newly introduced garden courtyard and green roofs on the first and eighth floors serve multiple purposes such as acting as a rainwater buffer, purifying the air, and assisting in regulating both indoor and outdoor temperatures.
The diverse planting scheme is designed to accommodate various invertebrate habitats to promote biodiversity. Additionally, sustainable drainage systems (SuDS) within the landscaping imitate natural hydrological processes to manage rainfall runoff effectively. More than half of the site has been dedicated to external landscaped areas, featuring two courtyards, a ground floor terrace, and three terraces on the upper levels.
A large portion of the outdoor spaces have be adorned with plant life, trees, water elements, and natural stone paving. Many other features integrated into the building’s facade and attached to mature trees aim to attract wildlife to the site.
